derivitec.market_data.types.EquityVolOfVarCurve

class derivitec.market_data.types.EquityVolOfVarCurve(eq_vol_of_var_index_id=None, reference_date=None, maturities=None, vols=None, provider_id=None)[source]

Equity volatility-of-variance term curve used by analytic volatility swaps.

The identifier is the underlying equity/index (e.g. ric(".SPX")). Maturities are increasing positive calendar-day offsets from reference_date. Vols are corresponding positive decimal values (0.40 means 40%). Uploads select the destination at request level; provider_id records the source when reading. These are not the ordinary EquityVolCurve inputs.

__init__(eq_vol_of_var_index_id=None, reference_date=None, maturities=None, vols=None, provider_id=None)[source]
Parameters:
  • provider_id – The provider id

  • maturities – The benchmark maturities

  • reference_date – The reference date

  • vols – The vols

  • spot_ref –

    The spot ref. spot_ref is used for vol surface construction only (i.e. to convert the supplied vol grid into z-space). It is distinct from equity_vol_surface_spot_model on the MarketDataOverride, which controls how the vol surface slides when a spot override is supplied.

    When both a spot override and a vol grid override are present, equity_vol_surface_spot_model only makes a difference if the spot_ref embedded in the vol grid differs from the spot override.
